JSC: Feb 2, 2026
And just like that, we're in February!
January is often about resetting, planning, and easing back into rhythm. Which is why we often offer New Year's greetings throughout the entire month! But February is different. It’s the month where intentions either turn into habits or quietly fall away. For job seekers, founders, and operators alike, this is the point where clarity turns into execution.
The market hasn’t suddenly become easier but it often will become clearer. Hiring plans are forming, budgets are being finalized, and decisions are starting to move. That makes this a powerful moment to stay focused, intentional, and consistent even when motivation dips.
This week’s newsletter is about reinforcing your foundation:
-
What to keep doing
-
What to simplify or remove
-
And how to move forward with confidence, not urgency
You don’t need a perfect plan for February. You need a repeatable one.
If you're just joining us today, look forward to learning about our community updates and get some more information about the Hiring for Impact event kicking off in March. Ready? Let's hop in!
The 28-Day Standing Firm Challenge Update:
This past stretch of the 28-Day Challenge focused on first impressions, mindset, and follow-through—and the impact is already showing.
The community spent time reinforcing how first impressions are less about performance and more about clarity, confidence, and knowing your value before stepping into conversations. Members were encouraged to show up with intention, advocate for their worth, and allow themselves to be seen—not just evaluated.
Alongside that, daily mindset reflections reinforced why structure and support matter during a job search. Consistent reflection, goal setting, and community engagement help build resilience, reduce burnout, and keep momentum moving forward especially through rejection or uncertainty.
On the action side, members:
-
Used worksheets and prompts to define habits and commitments
-
Checked in publicly to stay accountable
-
Shared wins, referrals, and next steps in real time
-
Supported one another with encouragement, resources, and connections
The result? Real progress. Referrals submitted. Applications completed. Confidence growing. Momentum building. Driving from the momentum of January into the habits of February and the rest of the year.
This is exactly what the challenge is designed to create—not perfection, but repeatable action backed by community support.

Announcement:
Last week, we shared an update on the upcoming Hiring for Impact workshop series launching this March in Miami, an initiative designed to connect skilled talent with employers who are hiring with clarity, intention, and long-term impact. We shared an exciting new partnership with The Urban League of Broward County and a breakdown of what participants can expect in the 4-week workshop series.
Registration momentum is building, and interest from founders and operators across the Miami ecosystem continues to grow. As March approaches, we’re focused on welcoming employers who are actively planning hires in 2026 and want to slow down, get aligned, and build hiring systems that last.
If you’re hiring, or planning to hire, this is your moment to step back, get intentional, and build the right foundation before you scale.

That's a wrap!
Remember, February doesn’t ask for perfection.
It asks for presence.
To show up a little clearer than last week.
To keep promises to yourself when no one is watching.
To stay engaged, even when progress feels quiet.
This community continues to prove that momentum isn’t built in big moments alone. It’s built in daily check-ins, thoughtful conversations, shared wins, and the willingness to keep going together.
Whether you’re refining how you show up, standing firm in new habits, or preparing to hire with greater intention, remember this: the work you’re doing now is shaping what’s possible next.
Keep showing up.
Keep choosing clarity over noise.
And trust that the right opportunities have a way of finding people who are ready for them.
See you next Monday,
Tena & Stephen
