JSC Newsletter: Nov. 10, 2025
Welcome to this week’s JSC Newsletter!
Tomorrow, and thoughout this week, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and quiet strength of our veterans and active service members. Their dedication reminds us that progress often happens behind the scenes, through consistency, discipline, and purpose. To all who have served: thank you for showing what it means to lead with integrity and resilience.

Now as the year winds down, it’s easy to slip into pause mode but this season is actually one of the most strategic windows of the year for job seekers. While inboxes get quieter and calendars clear, recruiters are already laying the groundwork for January hires. This is your chance to make quiet progress, the kind that builds confidence, momentum, and results without the noise.
“Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.” — Dwayne Johnson
So this week we are focusing on Quiet Progress and one of the most overlooked windows of the year which is the last six to eight weeks before the new year. Most job seekers mentally check out. But those who stay consistent, strategic, and calm build the foundation that turns into interviews in January. So let's not drop the ball now!
We will also get a status update on the Upskilling Challenge and celebrate a new milestone for JSC's Discord Community!
Ready? Let's go!
Mindset in Motion: Quite Progress
What is "Quiet Progress"?
Quiet Progress is the steady, intentional advancement toward your goals. This progress is built through small, consistent actions rather than loud achievements or constant visibility. It's focus.
It’s the discipline of showing up even when no one is watching. It’s refining your systems, nurturing your network, learning one new thing, or sending one follow-up — the kind of work that doesn’t always make noise but compounds over time into confidence, clarity, and opportunity.
In a job search or career journey, Quiet Progress means focusing on momentum, not perfection — understanding that growth happens in the preparation, the reflection, and the daily effort that positions you for the breakthrough moments ahea
“No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow your progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying.” — Tony Robbins
For job seekers, this is one of the most overlooked windows of the year — the last six to eight weeks before the new year. Most job seekers mentally check out. But those who stay consistent, strategic, and calm build the foundation that turns into interviews in January. So let's not drop the ball now!
“According to LinkedIn’s Global Talent Trends (2024), 61% of recruiters begin lining up Q1 hires in November and December.”
In closing, Quiet Progress is the work that happens in the margins — the notes you take, the messages you send, the time you spend preparing for what’s next. It doesn’t demand recognition, only consistency. Keep building, keep learning, and when the pace picks up again, you’ll already be ahead of the curve.

Quiet progress doesn’t demand hustle; it rewards intention. Each small action from refining your resume, reaching out to a connection, or learning one new skill, moves you forward while others stand still.
Stay consistent, stay curious, and when the new year begins, you won’t be starting over — you’ll already be in motion..
Let’s keep building. Together.
