JSC Newsletter: Nov. 3 2025
Welcome to this weekâs JSC Newsletter!
Spooky season has officially ended but there was no trick about my đ hunt! The answer was 13 and our winner was Brittany F.!
Brittany F. was the first to DM me and we connect this week, leaning about the challenges of layoffs, the current market and her personal journey thus far. We're looking forward to supporting Brittany further.
Thanks for everyone who participated!
Next, we move onto this weeks' news and topics. This week weâre diving into the exercise and practice of Reflection as we enter the final stretch of 2025, this week is about stepping back to reflect, not with judgment, but with intention. Reflection is the bridge between action and improvement. Itâs what turns experience into insight and effort into progress.
âYour vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.â â Carl Jung
We will also highlight new momentum across the community with moments from our Upskilling Challenge and reintroduce one of our service partners, Nate Jones from Job Sniper!
As always, since it's Monday, let's start with Mindset.
Mindset in Motion: Reflection
The best performers â in business, sports, or job seeking â all share one powerful habit: they pause to audit and adjust.
In our community, weâre breaking reflection down into three key areas:
-
Messaging or Storytelling â How are you telling your story? Does your resume, LinkedIn, or elevator pitch truly reflect the direction youâre heading â or the one youâre leaving behind?
-
Networking â Are you building relationships that energize your goals? Reflection helps identify whoâs in your corner, who youâve lost touch with, and where you can reconnect with purpose.
-
Mindset â How do you respond when things donât go as planned? Growth often starts where self-criticism ends. Reflection gives you the data to recalibrate and the grace to keep going.
Think of this as your mid-season review. Youâve done the work â now letâs make sure your systems, story, and energy are aligned with your next move.
âFollow effective action with quiet reflection. From the quiet reflection will come even more effective action.â â Peter Drucker
So hereâs your challenge for the week:
- Take 15 minutes to review where youâve grown, whatâs worked, and what needs recalibrating.
- Write it down and then share any takeaways with the community; we're stronger together so lean into JSC and we will surely lean back
And remember, small tweaks now can create big momentum to close out 2025 stronger than you started.
Like we learned last week: Youâve already earned your seat at the table â now itâs about continuing to show up for it with intention. Does this resonate with you??

Community Upskilling Challenge
This weekâs Upskill-Challengers' focus was on accessible learning and creative skill-building. Members shared affordable ways to earn certifications and expand professional visibility.
Highlights:
-
Several members explored Project Management certification paths, identifying low-cost options through platforms like IBM SkillsBuild, Udemy, and CAPM prep courses.
-
Others leaned into personal branding and content creation, using LinkedIn and creative outlets like blogs and Instagram to grow their reach and confidence.
Takeaway:
Upskilling isnât just about credentials â itâs about progress. Every class taken, post shared, or new skill explored moves you closer to your next opportunity.
Big Reminder:
Progress doesnât always look like a promotion or a certificate â sometimes itâs simply choosing to keep learning, refining, and showing up. Every small step forward is proof that youâre building something bigger.
Weâll be continuing to track together, sharing wins, and holding each other accountable inside the JSC Discord "#30-day-upskill-challenge" channel
Service Partner Spotlight: JobSniper
Next, we are excited to reintroduce our service partner, Nate Jones and his amazing tool in Job Sniper!
A word from Nate:
"Hey, Iâm Nateđ I started my career in consulting and later Operations & Finance at start-ups. I spent 18 months searching for my last job before I realized there was a formula. Now, Iâm building JobSniper to help others."
What is JobSniper?
It is a free browser extension that helps job seekers find LinkedIn job postings with dramatically better odds of getting noticed. It filters out promoted or reposted listings that typically attract hundreds of applicants, surfacing genuine opportunities that are often buried deep in LinkedInâs job feed.
How It Works:
-
Hides Promoted Posts: The extension automatically filters out high-volume, promoted listings.
-
Reveals Real Jobs: Focuses on organic, active postings with better hiring odds.
-
One-Click Setup: Installs easily and starts working immediatelyâno registration or configuration required.
Bottom Line:
JobSniper gives job seekers a cleaner, more efficient LinkedIn job search by cutting through the noise and surfacing real roles with fewer competitors and higher response potential.
If this resonates with you, or you're interested in learning more, hop in, DM Nate, join the conversation and get invovled.
These are spaces build for our community, by our community.
Thats a wrap!
As we close out, remember, every day is a choice and confidence doesnât appear overnight, itâs built through the quiet, consistent work of showing up for yourself.
Stay tuned for more ways to get involved, share insights, and connect with leaders in this space.
